Japanese single section isho tansu (clothing chest) from the Sendai area. Lacquered wood a deep reddish color. Six external drawers of different sizes. The right hand side has a safe box with a key. Inside are two small drawers. Iron hardware includes moko shaped handles and raised round chrysanthemum motif lock plates with raised scrolling leaves. Meiji Period.
